Comedy night on 16th October
tony vino
A bit of a first for Stokes Bay, we are putting on a comedy night.
We are having three great comedians:

Andy White is an energetic, confident and silly Brummie who combines silly voices and a mad afro to devastating comic effect. Andy has numerous media appearances, including the BBC New Comedy Awards on BBC Choice, Brand Spanking New on BBC Radio 7 and his winning performance on the Weakest Link comedian’s special!

Gerry Kyei is Anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest in style, Gerry's comedy is enriched by a somewhat unique perspective

Tony Vino is Preston’s very own funnyman (**** The Scotsman), Tony Vino has been touring the comedy scene since early 2005. Well aware of social and political issues he mixes friendly well thought out observational humour with audience interaction and quick witted responses. A finalist in 2006 Funny Bones competition, Tony has enjoyed recognition as a comedian and comedy compere of renown

Abandoned Trailers in the Compound
Scrap trailers
Is one of these trailers yours? If so, please remove it ASAP as Larry has his angle grinder ready to cut them up and dispose of to release another couple of much needed berths.

Could we remind you that compound space is very much in demand now with boats on the waiting list giving us a hurdle to attracting more members. Unless you have received prior approval from the Management Committee, trailers that are not in your allocated berth need to be removed. We should let you know that given the demand for berthing right now, it's unlikely that we will be able to offer storage for any trailers next year.

Cadet week is primarily for those children who have attended the Saturday morning cadet sessions. Whilst we welcome additional participants, the number of places we can offer is limited by the resources we have available, so priority will be given to those cadets who attend the Saturday sessions or participate in the club racing.

Please complete the forms and return them by midday 4th July – we will not be able to accept late applications.

Kind regards

Support our Cadets for the Topper World Championships
Some of the Club’s cadets are planning to go to Lake Garda, Italy for the Topper World Championships 2015.

They have been training hard throughout the winter under the expert tutorage of Dave Cockerill, often out on the water in freezing and blustery conditions.

To help fund their trip they are holding a ‘Car Wash & Cake’ morning this coming Sunday (15th March), at Hill Head Sailing Club, 9.30am – 12.30pm.

While your car is being washed, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a homemade cake while admiring the panoramic view of The Solent.

Thanks for your support!
