Topper and Laser training day
On Saturday 24th May we will be running a race training day for the Lasers and Toppers (or anything similar.. RS Tera etc). All abilities are welcome as we will work in a few groups to match levels and make sure everyone gets help and support. Both onshore and on the water we will cover boat setup, technique for boat speed, starting, boat to boat tactics and course tactics. If you’re a regular open meeting attendee or have just begun joining in with club racing, or anything in the middle, there will be something in it for all of you. Timings will follow on Tuesday when we can see the forecast but we will start approximately mid-morning and run through into the afternoon with a BBQ to finish if the weather permits! There is no fee or limit on numbers but if you are interested it would be a great help if you could email so we have a rough idea in advance. Cadets amongst you can also tell Grace.
Cob and pen ride – 13th June
You will need to order and pay for your buffet this Friday (23rd May). We have to pay upfront for this so please bring some money with you.

Stokes Bay Super Saturdays
Super Saturdays start for everyone of all levels of experience and skills on the 5th April 2014. All types of racing will occur over this summer season of Super Saturdays so come along and have an adventure. The course and style of racing, (anything from committee boat starts or pursuit to slalom racing), for the first race will be explained at the briefing by Mike Rayden at 13.00 hrs and the start time will be 14.30hrs for a 45/60 minute race. The BBQ will be fired up after racing for your enjoyment and the bar will be open.
Cadet Galley Rota
The cadet season is nearly upon us with the first meeting on the 19th April. Running separately to the rota already arranged by Grace is the galley rota as attached. Please can I ask that 2 volunteers help each Saturday morning with serving teas/ coffees, cakes and rolls. We managed to make £1200 last season for cadets and I have had great feedback on how much the service is appreciated. Mickey needs use of the galley when there are open meetings on so I do not need help on those occasions. Unfortunately the galley may need to run on an ad hoc basis this season if I cannot fill all the volunteer slots, as it really is too much for one person to man. If you are able to help please contact me at Looking forward to seeing you all at the start of the season,
Great St Patricks night
