The pupils in year 4 are carrying out a survey into boating. As members of the Sailing Club the impact of pollution is critical to the enjoyment of the sport we love so much. Many of us not only have dinghies but also ribs,motor boats and yachts. So please complete this survey, its great to see the younger generations taking an interest in such an important topic.

Sunday Starts
After this months Sailing Committee meeting it was decided to continue with the current starting procedure for Sunday races into the next series. There will only be starts for those fleets with 2 or more competitors and the bridge will indicate these fleets starts on a board from the bridge. This means that fleets are not waiting around, going through a start sequence with no one starting. This will be reviewed again at the next Sailing Committee meeting on 3rd April. If you would like to give the committee feedback please approach Sailing Sec or Assistant Sailing Sec or your fleet captains.

Pre Season Training

Pre-season Training will start on Wednesday 7th March in the club house at 7.15pm.  This is free to club members and run by volunteers. There will be a warm up followed by competitive circuits of strength work, a cool down and opportunity to have a drink afterwards. Please sign up on the notice board at the sailing club or email Sue Nelsonon tnelson@waitrose.com with your intention to participate, so that we can plan for numbers. Buoys and Racing Marks

We are looking for volunteers to help with making up the sinkers and tackle to renew the missing racing marks and 50m buoys. Please come along to the club on Saturday 24th March from 1000 with work clothes and gloves to help get these ready. All help will be gratefully recieved. Thank you - Sailing Committee
