About

Stokes Bay Sailing Club is a family friendly club on the Eastern Solent offering outstanding sailing conditions.  The club was formed in 1938 and from a small start, has bloomed into a major name.

The club offers a range of sailing activities, from the youngest cadets through to the cruising club and regular racing. There is also an active social programme including a summer party, live music, pub quizzes and after dinner speakers.

Our cadets run a programme of sailing; learning, up-skilling and moving onto racing. It’s a vibrant part of the club that can look like absolute chaos on a Saturday morning

The racing at Stokes Bay is superb  – we have a range of classes from fast catamarans to a mixed Dinghy Handicap. We are also home to the best Musto Skiff  and Laser fleets on the south coast.  Racing is held each Wednesday evening from April up to October and all year round on Sunday mornings from 11am.

The cruising division has a number of rallies all over the Solent throughout the summer months and welcome anyone looking to take a cruise with them.

The galley at the club offers hot and cold meals on a Wednesday evening in the summer and Sunday after racing. Our bar is always well stocked and open when racing is on.
