Becoming a member is straightforward and quick.
Choose the membership type that suits you, and don’t forget to sign up for a boat space in our dinghy park. Please note, berths are in high demand, so it’s a good idea to call our administrator at 023 9258 1513 to confirm a suitable berth for your boat.
As part of our vibrant community, every member with a sailing subscription contributes to the smooth running of sailing activities through our duty system. Your duties can be managed easily through our Dutyman site. After your membership is approved, you’ll receive an email with a link to our duty management system, where you can select available duties. On race days, members earn average points for their participation, ensuring fair and active involvement in club activities.

The membership year at Stokes Bay Sailing Club runs from 1st February each year, and we welcome new members throughout the year (subject to approval by the Management Committee). From time to time, we may offer reduced rates toward the end of the membership year — please contact the Club Administrator for further details. Additionally, a 2.5% discount is available for fees paid before 1st March 2025.

Day Visitors & Overnight Berthing
Access the Club’s Facilities for a Day
Non-members are welcome to enjoy the facilities at Stokes Bay Sailing Club with our Day Membership option. Whether you’re looking to sail for the day or simply take advantage of our excellent amenities, we’ve made it easy to sign up and pay online.
Winter Series
Our Winter Series 1 & 2 are open to members of other clubs which allows those ‘hardy’ sailors to continue to sail after their own club has closed for the winter.
Additional Information
Social and Watersports members are not required to fulfil club duties. However, we encourage all members to get involved and contribute to the club in various ways. Many of our members enjoy assisting with racing duties, while others support the club through different roles.
Our Watersports Membership is a newly introduced category that gives access to a wide range of activities beyond sailing. If you’re into kayaking, paddleboarding, wing-foiling, swimming, or windsurfing, this membership lets you use the club’s showers and changing facilities, external hoses for cleaning equipment, an air pump, as well as full access to the galley, bar, and all social events.
Whether you’re looking to race, relax, or enjoy the watersport facilities, there’s a membership option to suit everyone at Stokes Bay!
The Club’s Rules and Byelaws are applicable to everyone sailing and using Stokes Bay Sailing Club. Please do not select the GoCardless option or transfer any money until you have had communication from the administrator and you have been approved.
