Welcome to Stokes Bay Sailing Club
Where adventure meets community!
We host everything from casual sailing sessions to high-octane National-level racing. And for the watersports lovers, our growing community of windsurfers, wing-foilers, swimmers, paddleboarders, and kayakers means there’s always something happening on the water.
The racing at Stokes Bay is second to none. With access at all tides and events running all year round, there’s always an opportunity to get out on the water. We’re proud to be home to some of the finest Musto Skiff and ILCA fleets on the south coast. From fast catamarans to a mixed dinghy handicap, our classes are as diverse as they are exciting. Racing takes place every Wednesday evening from April through September, and continues every Sunday morning at 11am throughout the year. If you’re not the competitive type, there’s still plenty to enjoy. You might prefer a peaceful sail around our beautiful bay, a leisurely trip across to the Isle of Wight for an ice cream, or a friendly cruise to visit other clubs along the South Coast. It’s all about enjoying the water in your own way.
Life at the club extends well beyond the shoreline. Our social calendar is packed with energy and variety — from summer parties under the stars and evenings filled with live music, to quiz nights, engaging after-dinner speakers, and our much loved Christmas Ball that brings everyone together in festive style. When it’s time to refuel, the club’s galley has you covered with delicious hot and cold meals on Wednesday evenings in the summer and after Sunday races. And our bar? Always well stocked with real ales from local breweries, it’s open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sunday lunchtimes year-round — the perfect place to relax and share stories from the water. At Stokes Bay Sailing Club, we’re more than just a place to sail — we’re a community. Come join us and make memories on and o the water.
