Social & Fitness Program

Solo Offshore Racing – Fri 21st June at 8:30pm
Come and listen to Aaron Cooper talk about his year racing on the highly competitive Figaro Circuit.

The talk is about Aaron's season spent out in France racing on the single handed Figaro circuit as part of the Artemis Offshore Academy. He will explain about the boat and the style racing and how it differs to anything in the UK at the moment, which will include videos and pictures from his racing and campaign.

Aaron grew up sailing dinghies on a local pond and moved up into yacht racing on the Solent with the Bear of Britain and British Keelboat Academy. Last year he was selected to join the Artemis Offshore Academy to take on the new challenge on solo offshore racing in the competitive French Figaro circuit. He is now hoping to find sponsorship to get on the start line of the Solitaire du Figaro, to compete in the month long gruelling solo event.
