Congratulations to Josh and Steve!

Josh Belben and Steve Jackson have both won awards in sailing late last year. Josh has won the award for the best junior Cadet and Steve has won the award for the best Senior Cadet!

Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Club boats and bits.

There are now four club boats and bits, two oppies, two Rs Feva's, a kayak and four bodyboards. The fundraising we did to get these will continue to help pay for the maintenance and insurance of the equipment.

The new rotas are here!

I have managed to put the new rotas up onto the website and also change the look of the two pages to make them easier to read. As usual you can still download the rotas on a word document if you wish.

The rotas are available to everyone, we hope to see you next saturday!

Parents on the rotas?

If your willing to help out with the rotas then please contact Sue Nelson and state which weeks you can and cannot do, this will then allow her to make up the rotas and for me to place it on the website for all to see!

The Cadets!

Cadets is for all young people that want the chance to learn to sail in a safe and controlled environment. Cadets takes place every Saturday between May and the end of September weather permitting.

We have as a club two Optimist sailing boats, a yellow kayak and four body boards for cadet use. These can be freely used every Saturday morning by the cadets.

We hope this encourages you to come!

Chances for Cadets!

I have recently got an e-mail from Sandy saying that she is asked regularly if Cadets would like to crew a Dart.

This is what was said:

"If any Cadets are interested in crewing on a Dart, if you could let me know their contact details, I can keep them on file, as I frequently get asked for crews and the Dart is an ideal platform the cadets to crew on"

Please could you either contact me so i can pass it on to Sandy or contact directly at sf.palmer@dsl.pipex.com.

Cadets ENJOY!
